Off-Road Recreational Days

Recreational days are great for discovering what a 4x4 can do!! You will be accompanied by our Instructor at all times and you can enjoy the fun of the slopes, banks and mud to your heart's content in your own vehicle or one of our Land Rovers. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced off-roader we'll develop a programme especially for you. You can even share the driving with others if you all want a go!

For those drivers familiar with “Pay & Play” - this is so much better and we pride ourselves on 1:1 tuition.

Course Options

Jumbo Special (2 and a half hours) £180

This course is a great for individuals. If you are a beginner you can learn how to improve your driving skills and get the best out of a 4x4 vehicle.

Half Day (4 and a half hours) £280

This half day is a great favourite with groups of 4 people - 2 driving and 2 taking photos and enjoying the off road ride as passengers.

Full Day (6 and a half hours) £380

Training for safari holiday

Maybe you’re training for safari holiday - or want to get a group of friends together for a whole day of off-roading, this is the package for you. You’ll be able to explore the ancient woodland and take away real knowledge of off-road skills.

Groups of up to 25 for 1, 2 or 3 days (Stag & Hen)

What will I have learned on a Full Day?

For the serious off-roader who wants to widen their experience of extreme off-roading

• To learn as many “tricks of the trade” if things go wrong
• To practise pendulum motion recovery
• Steering wheel action as an aid to recovery
• Choice of gear selection and power
• Simple aids to recovery - e.g. shovel, high lift jack, kinetic rope
• Route planning and assessment in the natural environment

What will I have learned on a Half Day?

• I will have learned how 4 wheel drive systems work, how transmission handbrakes work and the dangers of transmission wind-up.
• Improving your ability to control the vehicle on steep ascents and descents, e.g. cadence braking and ABS
• Analysis of water wading conditions
